Eldin Sprečo is a Sarajevo master coppersmith, copper artist, and maker whose work connects traditional craft with a personal artistic biography. His story does not begin only at the workbench; before copper, his life was shaped by music, performance, and sound.
One of his early loves was guitar, inspired by Paco de Lucía. He later played guitar and double bass with KUD Baščaršija, traveled through much of Europe with the ensemble, and worked as a sound engineer at public radio and television.
That relationship with rhythm, listening, and handwork naturally found a second language in copper. Eldin began learning the coppersmith craft in 1996 and opened his professional workshop in 1998. Today, each piece carries Sarajevo, authorship, and the time required to shape metal with care.
Workshop philosophy
The workshop protects the value of handmade work: a slower process, clear authorship, direct customer conversation, and pieces that are not generic souvenirs but objects with origin.
